Join Recycle Utah for the next Park City Green Drinks event on Tuesday, November 14, from 6 to 8 PM! The event will be held at Twisted Fern (1300 Snow Creek Drive). Green Drinks is an opportunity to meet and mingle with other eco-conscious people, and hear from local leaders about sustainability, environmental, and social advocacy issues.
This month’s Green Drinks will feature a discussion with Greg Libecci, Energy and Resource Manager for Salt Lake City School District and 18 year Park City resident, will discuss actions we can take to enhance energy efficiency at home. How can we calculate our home's carbon footprint? Is our home a VOLT (85 mpg) or an SUV (14 mpg)?
In addition, Micah Kagan, Leaders for Clean Air, will be discussing the state of electric vehicles in Utah and what we can do to get more on the road. Micah works closely with businesses to plan and implement electric vehicle charger projects.
Also, Erin Bragg, the new Executive Director for Summit Community Power Works (SCPW), will discuss Rocky Mountain power and Dominion resources for rebates and energy audits, residential and commercial.
Admission to Park City Green Drinks is always free, but you must be 21 or older to attend the event. Food (and drinks for purchase) will be provided by Twisted Fern, a Recycle Utah Green Business. Donations to Recycle Utah will be accepted at the door, which allow us to continue hosting these free community events.
